STATEMENT OF BELIEF

We, the Fellowship of Compassion, are a community united by our shared belief in the transformative power of love, grace, and service to all people, especially those who are marginalized, forgotten, and oppressed. We affirm the following:

1. We Believe in the Sacredness of All People

We believe that every person is created possessing inherent dignity, worth, and value. Regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender and gender identity, socioeconomic status, or life circumstances, each individual is deserving of love, respect, and compassion.

2. We Believe in the Call to Love and Serve Others

We believe that our faith compels us to love our neighbors as ourselves. This love is made manifest through acts of kindness, service, and solidarity with those who suffer. We are called to stand alongside the poor, the hungry, the unhoused, and the broken-hearted, offering not just words of comfort but tangible support and care.

3. We Believe in Justice and Mercy

We believe in justice and mercy. We are called to advocate for systemic change, to challenge structures of injustice, and to work for the fair treatment of all people. Our faith moves us to act on behalf of those who are oppressed, striving to create a world where everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.

4. We Believe in the Power of Community

We believe that transformation happens in community. The Fellowship of Compassion is committed to building inclusive, supportive, and loving communities where all people can experience belonging, healing, and growth. We seek to be a refuge for the weary, a voice for the voiceless, and a family for the lonely.

5. We Believe in the Journey of Hope and Healing

We believe that no person is beyond the reach of grace. We hold onto the hope that through love, faith, and support, every person can experience healing, restoration, and renewal. We commit to walking with those who are in pain, offering spiritual, emotional, and physical support as they journey toward wholeness.

6. We Believe in Humility and Service

We believe that true greatness is found in serving others. We seek to live lives of humility, putting the needs of others before our own. We believe that through acts of humble service, we reveal our hearts to the world.

7. We Believe in the Transforming Power of Faith

We believe that faith has the power to transform individuals, communities, and the world. Our faith is active, seeking to bring light to darkness, hope to despair, and love to hate. We trust in the guidance of the Fellowship of Compassion as we live out our mission of compassion and care.

8. We Believe in a Future of Peace and Justice

We believe in the vision of a world where peace, justice, and equality reign.
