MINISTRIES

The Collective Empowerment

The Fellowship of Compassion is proud to introduce Collective Empowerment, a new initiative designed to build meaningful connections and foster a sense of belonging within our community. This mentor-advocacy program pairs recently housed individuals with compassionate members of the Fellowship of Compassion and the broader neighborhood, creating an environment of support, empathy, and empowerment.

Each month, participants gather one on one over coffee in a welcoming and casual setting to share stories, experiences, and encouragement. The goal is simple: to offer a listening ear, a helping hand, and a reminder that no one is alone in their journey. While mentors may assist with practical needs if possible—such as sharing local resources or offering advice—the heart of the program is to provide genuine care and friendship.

Through Collective Empowerment, we hope to bridge the gaps between neighbors, foster understanding, and inspire lasting change rooted in compassion and community solidarity. Together, we can uplift one another and celebrate the shared strength that comes from supporting each other’s growth.

Truckee Navigation Center - Opening Doors and Sharing Meals

The Fellowship of Compassion is proud to be a leader in the development of the Navigation Center Pilot Program.  This congregation took the lead on Community Fundraising with the focus to ensure that every person who finds refuge at the Navigation Center will also find nourishment: meals each day, 365 days a year.   We continue fundraising for stability past this pilot year.

Your gift is an investment in compassion, dignity, and hope - Together, we can open doors and share meals that change lives.

This Center is expected to open Mid February 2026,  at which time there will be further volunteer opportunities,  including worship gatherings and meals with these neighbors.
